No Honors 4 the Heros

Bringin' hope to the forgotten
With words to change a nation, like M.L.K
Children of his dream
What shame we've become
In partaking culture genocide
Drug overused of any kind
Is a deteriorating death
Unprotected sex, like aids is none existing
Where now to kill a man
Your reward with hood stripes and tattoo tears
So excuse me
Years of this living there is no fear of death
Welcome to the jungle
Where life has no value
And manhood is defined by your status of wealth
So materialistic
So far distant
Of not knowing who we are
Not even knowing who we are

                                                             No Honors for the Heros

There is no glory for our past martyr
Denmark Vesey
Nat Turner
Marcus Garvey in qouting
"Africa for the Africans"
Putting us back in that mind sate
Of greatness, marvelous,
Harmonious with the universe
Giving back to what
Malcolm X taught
What Noble Drew Ali Brought
with the same words Bob Marley sang
Visions thru his green vapors
Freedom for the people
Who forgot what's royalty like
Ruling empires bringing birth to civilizations is like
There is no glory for our past martyr
Where my mother's mother is Africa
From the pillars of her bones
The wooliness of her hair
To the melanin protecting her olive hue
Strength,
       Bravery,
                      Self-pride
Is these not the ingredient's of
Warrior's
         Kings,
                      Quens
Our blood is as rich as Alex Hailey roots
Honor our heros who paved the way
Frederick Douglas
Sojourner Truth, alone with countless others
Who contributed their lives
For the growth of our nation
We are born survivors crown with righeousness

Melted Cries

It hurts,
But what hurts worse
Is the sudden realization
Of a one sided testimony
What's under my chest is lonely
Knowing that no one's around
To listen to the stress that owns me...
Only phony M*****
Rolling their dice
Hoping for a slice
of my cipher
(or just some heat from my fire)
LISTEN!!!
It hurts,
Much worse then 'their' version,
Which is hilarious
It's strange that I can't explain
The magnitude of this pain,
Gaining momentum on my attitude
Can you justify my actions
Based on any sympathetic gesture
To the condition of my emotions?
Of course not...
But still it hurts
Much worse than any burst
Of reality I've ever felt
Much worse than any surge
Of suffering affecting SELF ("help"?)
Why the hell yell help
When there is no one here to hear
My cries melt to tears
And collide with an oblivious substance
Summoned from the bowels of justice
To capture, torture, and rape
Demoralize, stultify, and decapitate
These melted cries....

If my tears fail to escape,
My eyes will drown in a sea full of hate....

Life's fee

Like an aging tree.
Bound to Nature's law, not free,
We must pay Life's fee.

I'll rise

I'll rise tall and strong
Like a cedar tree
On a mountain top
Amongst many of my kind
I'll stand...
Guided by the righteous souls
Who die
In the fight for justice

Refugee

They told me
That terrible things happen
But good always outways evil
That love always prevails
And no matter what
Everything is gonna be alright
They told me not to worry
They told me
They are only doing what they were told
For the protectionj of our culture
That certain sacrifices must be made
In order for our people to survive
That certain individuals have betrayed us
And they must be dealt with, accordingly
Things will be said and done
And diabolical acts of justice
Must be enforced
To ensure the prosperity of our nation
But not to worry,
Everything's gonna work out
They told me everything is going to be alright
It was just part of life
They told me
That my father's opinions
Poisoned the roots of our system
That his venomous tongue
Was too sharp for children
So they chopped it off
Like the truth to his innocense
Then without reason
Pertaining to me personally
They kidnapped my father
After he just cooked dinner for me and sister
They took him before they could even take his dignity
And I haven't seen him since then
They told me
That man was not your father
They, they took me
Placed a weapon in my hand
And told me
That the purpose of life
Was to life it
That everyone over their
The same color skin
The same kind of hair
The same eyes, lips and
Everything in between
Will enslave my soul
The minute I give them
Room to breathe
They told me
That blood has the sweet taste of honey
And power taste even better
Murder was the path they gave me to achieve Nirvana
They told me
I was a leader of my people
The same people I've witnessed then rape
With a twinkle in their eye
Like annihilation was a part of my life
They told me
That was a part of life
So, I ran
I ran until my lungs exploded in agony
I ran until my legs disagreed with my spine
And took off by themselves
I ran until I lost their eyes, their voice, and my mind
I ran until I was found
By the woman who manifested my existence
And the other 1/2 of my destiny
My mother and my sister
Now I hear someone telling me
Everything is going to be alright (again)
They are telling me
That safety lies beyond the seas
Without any strings attached
They are telling us
Don't worry, don't worry, don't worry
Be patient and you will soon be there
In paradise
Well, we got here
And they are telling me
The exact same thing
They told me back home....
The world is beautiful
Blood has the sweet taste of honey
And power taste even better

                                                             Peace
